EdgeGrip has been developed as a cost effective, long term solution to the obligations und Disability Discrimination Act Part III and in particular, the sections relevant tot the partially sighted. In order that the obligations are satisfied, in essence, all stairs accessible by members of the public, should have a contrasting nosing fitted to the step edges and in addition, such nosing should provide a slip resistant top surface.
EdgeGrip is a pre-formed fiberglass profile constructed by combining polyester resins with fibre reinforcements. EdgeGrip is resistant to stretching, warping or swelling over a wide range of temperatures and physical stresses. Its construction means that EdgeGrip is virtually indestructible, once fitted to the stair edge.
Two types of grit surface are available, Type I, with its smaller grit size, offers good slip resistant whilst allowing a surface that is reasonably easy to clean. Type E with a much heavier grit profile is ideal for the rigours of the external environment.
With its chamfered back edge, EdgeGrip can be fitted to almost any step without creating a trip hazard. Even when fitted to landings and extra deep steps, its unique design provides the most secure solution.
Two sizes of EdgeGrip are available the 70x30mm is the standard however to meet current Building regulations (applicable to new buildings), a 55×55 mm version is also available.

Colours
The standard stock colours available are Yellow and White however, any BS or RAL colour is available subject to minimum order quantities and extended delivery periods.
EdgeGrip can be supplied in full 3000mm lengths to be cut on site or can be cut to your required size by us.
The nosings are simply glued and screwed to existing substrate, which means it can be wlked on immediately thus keeping disruption to busy environments to a minimum. EdgeGrip is extremely easy to install but Swiss Solutions do offer a full nationwide installation service for companies without the facility of a maintenance departement.
SlipGrip Stair Tread Covers & Riser Plates
SlipGrip Stair Tread Covers & Riser Plates products provides a covering of the entire step and landing areas, is generally used where slip hazards are present. A special hard wearing grit is applied in the top surface that not only provides an extremely slip resistant surface but also withstands the rigours of even the busiest of environments.
SlipGrip is extremely easy to install and well within the capabilities of most maintenance departements. Complete with a contrasting coloured nosing, SlipGrip also ensures that the DDA legislation obligations are satisfied.
